A Formal Introduction

The question of all questions…why am I here? Even when we have a general idea, we blank it out; and go with something completely different. Trust me; I’ve been there. Music has always been a love of mine, but it’s the original drum that is drawing closer than ever before: our heart. I’m not on a quest for fame and fortune; I’m on the quest for love and understanding. The universal language of music chose me, I didn’t choose it. Through my inquisitive nature, I was able to discover my ancestral past which I’m still learning, and a wonderful transition is taking place. Now I feel ready; mind, body and soul to deliver a message that was pre-written by me many many life cycles ago. This has nothing to do with religion which is a subject I stay far away from. Only you decide what’s best for you. All I can’ do is outline the blue print of my self-discovery through a series of blogs.

You’re probably thinking to yourself… where’s the meat? Talk about Hip Hop; as in the stages of the game. I’ll sum it up for you; as I am reinventing the wheel. We were always taught not to reinvent the wheel, but why not when someone else invented it? If there was ever a time to reinvent anything, now is the time. Hip Hop pumps through my blood and veins; and if you’re reading this, it probably pumps through yours which makes us family. So why would I put anything out disrespecting or misleading the very people I claim to love? I’m going to bring that authenticity… raw, uncut, pure Hip Hop. I’m going to claim the throne I once sat on and encourage everyone else to do the same. My quest is to break the gender code, and see music for just what it is…. Music. Not female rap music, but music as a whole. Allowing my life to imitate art. You’re probably thinking that I have a long way to go… but don’t we all?

The game (and that’s just what it is) isn’t built for suckers; and I assure you that I’m sucker free. Continue to seek good quality music that moves you. Listen to the lyrics backwards and forwards. What are the words really saying? If you paid attention, you would hear them crying out for help. Literally. I challenge you to take one step closer everyday towards discovering who you really are. Thank you for coming through and reading “My Introduction” to you. Subscribe and leave a comment. I would love to hear your thoughts.
